A gallery of landing pages, kept as video. Every entry is a recording of the real page scrolling from top to bottom — not a screenshot of the part that happened to be above the fold.
Why video
Most of what makes a landing page worth studying does not survive a screenshot. The loading sequence, the way type settles as you scroll, a hover that reveals the rest of a sentence, a 3D scene that turns as the page moves — a still frame drops all of it and keeps the part that was on screen when the shutter fired. Each entry here is the whole page, playing, so the thing you came to look at is the thing you see.
How it is put together
Sites are added by hand, one at a time. Each is filed under the industry it serves and tagged with what it was built with, so the archive can be read either way — by what a page is for, or by how it was made. These are the six largest categories:
The studios behind them
Every entry is credited to the studio, agency or independent designer who built it, so a page you like leads to the rest of their work rather than to a dead end. The most represented in the collection:
The same sites, years apart
When a site we already hold is redesigned, it is recorded again and the old capture stays. That turns the archive into a record of how the web changed, not just what it looks like now — a thing a screenshot gallery cannot show you at all. These were re-recorded most recently:
